Going live effective immediately – and open right through to Christmas Eve, JB and I are on duty to answer your Christmas cooking questions. ✨Welcome to our Christmas Cooking Hotline!!✨

JB and I are on call!
I’m so excited to be doing this! I’ve had the idea of a Christmas cooking hotline bubbling away in my mind for years, but I always hesitated because I worried it would be too much to handle on my own.
But now that JB is part of the face of RecipeTin and it’s not just me, there’s two of us here to answer your questions. So for the first time ever, we’re opening up a hotline for Christmas cooking questions, bringing together home-cook practicality and actual proper chef experience (JB!), which means more ideas and better problem-solving for you!

So drop your question in the comments section below and we will answer as many as we can (we need to sleep, and we have some other work things to finish!). Ask anything you want, like:
Can I make this ahead, freeze it, or reheat it?
What can I substitute if I can’t find an ingredient?
How do I scale recipes up or down?
Help, something’s going wrong – how do I fix it?
Menu planning, timing, or oven logistics chaos 😅
Even though our last day of work is this Friday, JB has generously agreed to continue helping me with questions right through to Christmas Eve. Thank you JB, you’re the best.
And now…. the Christmas Cooking Hotline is now officially open. So drop your questions below and we’ll jump in to help wherever we can, because Christmas cooking is much more fun with backup! 🎄 – Nagi x
PS Few out-takes from today’s little Christmas shooting session. We know how to cook better than taking selfies. Promise. 😅

PPS Who nailed The Wink? 😉

Life of Dozer
My favourite Dozer Christmas outfit.

Though to be honest, Santa spends most of his time like this:

Which I’m sure is Santa after a few too many Christmas wines. This has absolutely nothing to do with his ride – or the stable hand who saddled up his ride. 😂
My first Christmas as a puppy parent! Any suggestions for Christmas puppy treats? 🤣❤️
Merry Christmas Nagi and JP, hope you get to enjoy downtime with loved ones and furry friends. i’ve learnt so much from you and much more confident to try new things. the chicken thighs/legs baked in their own gravy was amazing and just made my first batch of lemon curd and kidding myself that i have willpower to wait until i have someone else over before i fill a short crust flan vase i’ve already prepared and baked with the lemon curd and then scoff the lot because, i assume, the pastry could get soggy if i didn’t eat it all immediately….
Hi Nagi & JB, I’m cooking a turkey buffe with fig and pistachio stuffing. What would be some wonderful prep ahead or easy sides to make it sing? Also, to gravy or not to gravy? Is there a great make ahead recipe for it? So many questions!! Please & thank you & Merry Christmas 🎅 to
Im looking for a sauce recipe to serve alongside glazed ham… what do you suggest?
Thank you for all the lovely recipes you both share. They are delicious, and our family comes together to enjoy them all. Sending many hugs, blessings, peace, love, and light your way! You give so very much, and we are so grateful for you, Dozer, and JB! Thank you so very much for all you do! 🙂
What would be your go to dessert for gluten free AND dairy free guests?
Any suggestions for estimating how much total nibbles, meat, potatoes/starch, veggie sides, and desserts for a set amount of people? Eg if we’re doing three meats (lamb, ham, chicken) how much to estimate per adult so we don’t massive over or under cater??
Hi nagi, love all your work!
I’m doing veggies for our hot lunch this year. I’ve got your maple roasted carrots, cheesy cauliflower and roast potatoes to do. As a mum of 2 young children looking at ways to make ahead. Any thoughts as to where and when I should start? Cheers in advance for your help!
Have a wonderful Xmas. I have been cooking up a storm with all your wonderful recipes that you share with us. xx
Hi Nagi, love your Facebook page, I’m a little confused I read a post with your different Christmas Menus and now I get all these different sites but not yours are they all legit ?
Thanks for this opportunity to pick your brains 😃 I am going to cook 2 turkeys in the smoker this year (we’re camping) I would love a few tips on timing and preventing them from drying out too much.
Merry Christmas to you 🌲
Could you tell me what vegetables I can pre-cook and reheat on Christmas Day, please?
Son’s partner is vegan. Please recommend a few dishes for Xmas day?
I think you guys might need a xmas miracle to answer all these questions 🙂 Remember to take a well earned break yours elves 😉 Love your work and merry Xmas!
BEST vegan/gluten free homemade baileys recipe please
One of my “offerings” to my daughter’s Xmas lunch (probably not the best contribution idea cause she’s in Newcastle & I’m in Sydney) is beef w. chimichurri sauce.
I can make sauce day before (probably better) but how do I best cook the beef the day before to keep moist. And I do need to cook it the night before.
Thinking flatiron (Harris Farm) & on bbq or ? & keeping it whole & after resting wrap in foil before slicing on the day. Any hints?
Can I ask, will the beef from your Marinated Roast Beef recipe stay tender if it is served cold on the day after it’s cooked?
How far ahead can I fill the pavlova bombs
Thanks 🎄🎄🎄🎄
My partner is allergic to mustard. I sometimes get away by using horse radish and occassionally wasabi (although she my be sensative to that). What else can I try, and what are the substitution ratios for, sau, Hot English, and Dijon?
Hi Nagi and JB, my dad usually makes a cheese ball for Christmas Day snacks, and this year I have been asked to make one. Do you have any recipes for a good one? Also, what are the best ways to cook frozen snapper? Thanks so much.
