Talk to me! Tell me what you want.

It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?

And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!

The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.

The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.

Thus, I turn to you to ask –

Tell me what you want for 2021!

Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:

  • More greens, less meat

  • More fish!

  • Work lunch ideas

  • More Dozer (🤞🏼!)

  • Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb

  • Freezer friendly recipes

  • Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)

  • Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort

I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.

So, talk to me!! – Nagi x

PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!

PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢

I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.

And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

Favourites so far: lemon cake, Thai green chicken curry, apple tea cake, creamy tomato pasta, green bean salad, Mediterranean salad, Greek salad, Mediterranean baked chicken dinner, chicken enchiladas.. okay wow the list really goes on!! Everything we have made so far has been soo good! We stumbled across your website during Aus lock down, (we usually travel 8 months of the year and eat around the world… so we wanted to find some variety and new recipes to cook at home) and we are so happy we found yours!! We use your website ALLLLLLLL the time and we are so grateful for all the amazing recipes and the variety on there 🙂

Would love to see some more salad recipes & some great ways to give veg at dinner time flavour!! I find veg so boring unless in a stir fry or casserole etc!! Some more slow cooked meal recipes would be great too. (Not just the amazing slow cooked meats that are there maybe things like stews?? Or any kind of dish to just chuck on and enjoy later ) 🙂

And as always any desserts are exciting to make so can’t wait to see what new ones I can try in 2021

Hi Nagi, I love seafood, so fish and shellfish recipes are something I’d like to see more of. Although it doesn’t matter really what you post I always try them. Love your work

    Nagi,
Thank you for so many recipes that I never knew I was looking for! My husband would eat the butter chicken every week if he could!
No particular “wants” but do have to tell you how MUCH I love the information you provide in the notes for substitutions/clarifications/
tips. I have really upped my Asian meals. I feel like my pantry/fridge shelf is pretty awesome with so many Asian condiments!

    Hi Nagi
    Love your work! Thank you.
Cooking for 6 is fun, cooking for 2 is not. Is the compromise to cook for 4 and freeze half?
Would love your ideas on any suitable recipes for this situation.
    thanks

Nagi!! Love your recipes and Dozer! Had to keep that pic of him up on my screen all day – made me smile!
I would love some low cal options on dishes, quick dinner meals, and meals for 2. Thanks for all you do to make this crazy world a better place!

    Hi Nagi and Dozer,
Thank you so much for all the effort and care you put into your recipes – every time I make one of your dishes it always turns out perfect and delicious!
I’d love to see more vegetarian meals (but no processed substitute meats, just real veg).
Thanks again for the endless inspiration and guidance 🙂

    Hi, Nagi, Happy New Year.
I love your recipes. As my family and I are trying to loose weight it would be nice to have some low fat recipes, snacks and that will freeze.

    Hi Nagi
I just wanted to say I have tried so many recipes over the years and have yet to find any as good as yours. I made the Vegetable Chow Mein last night from scratch not with the premade base and it was absolutely delish. I am loving all the vege dishes because although Im not a vegetarian I really dont like red meat only fish veges and a very small amount of chicken. You are the best and a big hug for Dozer xx

Always more Dozer!! But also, more “meals for one” please. My husband and I are in different cities this year for work and I find it extremely difficult to be motivated to cook something for myself that’s cost effective and delicious. Also not a huge fan of leftovers, but I’ll work on that! Thanks Nagi, always love your recipes and funny posts 🙂

    Hi Nagi, Happy New Year
I’m not vegetarian but would love to see and enjoy more vegetarian recipes using normal ingredients – no meat substitutes. Would also like to see your recipe for vietnamese Beef noodle salad (bun bo xao) and its accompanying sauce Nuoc Cham.
Thanks for your great yet easy recipes .

    Hi Nagi,
Thanks for your recipes and the open invitation to make comments to you. I would certainly like to see Freezer friendly meals and slow cooker meals. BUT as I am allergic to onion/shallot/etc I would love to see recipes for main meals free of these ingredients (or anything from that family- even garlic is not very good for me). Or at least an alternative way to cook or alternative ingredients. I have been told that you can fry off celery just the same as you would onion for a similar taste but I am not sure. Even if I don’t cook many recipes, because of the onion etc I still enjoy your site and seeing what Dozer is doing. Keep safe and I hope 2021 is a wonderful year for you. Best wishes
